Question: 386-3410
Can you suggest a creeping annual vine that will go well with petunias in a stone planter? Cindy, North Stonington, CT

Mort's Answer:
Vinca with its white margin on green leaf will be good background. Portulaca flowers now come in straight colors. The original portulaca, which is still available, had all the colors on one plant. You can use complementary or contrasting colors with the portulaca. Ivy is a perennial that will eventually take over the planter but ivy can be transplanted into another area in due time.
