Question: 1291-3515
My sunflowers are being eaten by a skunk. My pears are disappearing from my tree whole. Any suggestions? Jim, Salem, CT

Mort's Answer:
The skunk can be induced to leave. Carefully trap them and leave the door open for it to leave a few hours later. It appears that some two legged animal or animals are visiting at night. Teenagers can be nocturnal. Other animals would leave remains. If you leave the trap for the skunk closed overnight, you could kill two birds with one stone.
