My Northern Spy Apple trees have produced no flowers at all since planting them six years ago. All of the other apples that were planted at that time have borne fruit. Is it the variety? Joseph, Baltic, CT

Yes, it is. You need not chop them down. If I were to give George Washington a pass, it would be because his tree was a late bloomer. Be patient. Seven years is a charm.
