Question: 71-5201
We have rain barrels. We are anticipating a lot of mosquitoes and are concerned about the West Nile virus. Can we spray and use the water? Dorothy, Morrisonville, IL

Mort's Answer:
Larvicides are available from state county agencies. You can use the water on flowers. I would not use it on vegetables. Another solution is to put Neem oil on top of the water. You can siphon the water off under the oil or replace it as needed.
