Question: 1312-4115
My kale did not do well this summer. It is still in a four inch pot. I was thinking of bringing it indoors. Any suggestions? Marion, East Greenwich, RI

Mort's Answer:
Kale likes cooler temps and it will grow through the snow. I would plant it in the garden now. Apply some 10-6-4 fertilizer on top of the soil after it is in the ground. If you do want to bring it indoors, place the plant in an eight inch pot with good sterile soil that has fertilizer added. Your indoor kale should be near a cold window, preferably in the basement.
