Question: 880-2516
I have extended my garden from 12x14 feet to 13x15 feet, I have 60 feet of the black vinyl edging. Should I square the corners or should I round them? I am planting cauliflower, tomatoes and peppers. How far apart should I plant them? Julie, Templeton, MA

Mort's Answer:
Peppers need 18 inches, cauliflower about two feet. Large 90 day day tomatoes need three feet unless in cages. Early 30 day small grape tomatoes can use 15 inches. I would round the corners on the edging and use the entire 60 feet. This will accommodate the lawn mower as it turns. Insert only four inches of the edging to buffer the grass clippings. This will also allow the weed wacker to get closer.
