Question: 512-1411
Is there a natural herbicide for Daylilies? Linda, Taylorville, IL

Mort's Answer:
Human hands and knee is the most natural. If you could create a dust mulch with the top inch of soil every two weeks, you can keep the weed seed from sprouting. I use a clam rake with four six or eight inch tines.  Daylilies easily spread sideways and can be split every three years. This much easier than spreading herbicides.
